are these chairs put there for the use of the "ancient prophets of old" if they should visit the kh?
Reborn2002: LOL, all good reasons for two chairs but I believe there MUST be a more sinister reason. I haven't set foot in a KH in almost 20 years so the two chairs seemed odd to me.
Ven: Good point as well. Since I never wore pointy high heels to meetings I wouldn't have thought of the shoe angle.

Are these chairs put there for the use of the "ancient prophets of old" if they should visit the KH? Are they for Rutherford and Knorr if they should come in? Or are they for dual disfellowshippings where the victims wait while the elders rubber stamp another excommunication?

I have done nothing more than express my belief that Islam is an uncivilized and barbaric religion. Many of it's adherants are certainly not murderers and will never be murderers or suicide bombers. But their hearts and minds are in sympathy with the bombers. You say they hate the acts as much as I do. . . well I haven't seen very many if any expressions of that perspective by Muslims. Now, if based on my observations about the nature of Islam I called for the imprisonment, deportation or genocide of all Muslims, I think you would have cause to worry about my motives. But I have not indicated that at all.
I view Islam much like I view the WTS. It's a dangerous belief system that defers action and responsibility for such actions to others. If the WTS expresses the view that "god" is justified in the wholesale slaughter of non-JW's, the rank and file followers don't express alarm or dismay, they express tacit approval and joy. Are there some JW's who are otherwise nice people. You bet your ass there are. But their theology is detrimental to themselves and others. So you can assume that I reject Islam and I reject JW's in part because of these beliefs. Am I biggoted? Well, I prefer to think I am intellectually critical of these groups of people and reject their beliefs. If that is the definition of biggoted to you, then I guess I am. I'm often suspicious of the motives of those who defend Islam. But that's just me.

Since shoe wearing does not constitute a cause and groups of shoe wearers have not taken credit for atrocities resulting in the death of innocent people in the name of shoe wearing, your argument breaks down and makes no sense. That is precisely the lack of reasoning that allows so many people to be bamboozled by the JW's.

When Muslims in this country and others begin to make collective statements denouncing and condeming the acts of suicide bombers and other terrorists as NOT being representative of Islam, then I will begin to have a change of heart. I may give up my notion that Islam is an anachronistic, fanatical belief system based on ignorance and hatred. But as of right now, I see no reason to change my opinion.

You made a point that really got me thinking. You mentioned how as children we were taught that the birds would eat the eyes out of the "wicked"after Armageddon. And I started thinking about the JW definition of wicked as anyone who doesn't listen to JW's and believe what they say. It isn't predicated upon any dispicable atrocities or acts of unspoken evil, just simply not believing what JW's believe.
And then I begin to see why JW children grow up so absurdly ignorant about proportionality. That there are degrees of bad behavior and that there is a lot of good in everyone. But NO, all non-JW's are "wicked". If I were a contortionist, I'd kick myself in the ass for believing all of that garbage.
